Kelly Walsh, LISW-S

Kelly is a resident of Northern Kentucky but grew up in Butler County, Ohio. She has over 30 years of clinical experience in the fields of Social Work, Psychiatry, and Mental Health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Kelly has completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of Evansville and completed her Master Degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky. She has completed 200 hours of post graduate clinical supervision and 2,000 hours of direct practice to receive the independent practitioner endorsement. She is also permitted to supervise and evaluate post graduate therapists. Kelly has two children with mild to moderate special needs. She has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, in all levels of care, including various enhanced mental health services focusing on adults and children with mild to severe psychiatric and mental health issues. Kelly's approach emphasizes mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. She cultivates the therapeutic relationship with clients and encourages trust while supporting the client's growth in and through vulnerability. Kelly's therapeutic practice is composed of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psycho-education but uses a variety of modalities.
